Dr. Bunner has over 22 years of experience treating women and men with spine and hip dysfunctions, pelvic floor insufficiencies as it relates to urogynecological and colorectal issues, osteoporosis and complaints associated with simple and high risk pregnancies and the postpartum period. Dr. Bunner graduated from Old Dominion University in 2000 with a Master of Physical Therapy degree and in 2012 she completed a Doctor of Physical Therapy at AT Stills University. Dr. Bunner is ABPTS Board- certified in Orthopedics, Women’s Health, and is also Board certified in the use of Surface Electromyography in the evaluation of Pelvic Muscle Dysfunction by the Biofeedback Certification Institute of America. She has a diverse background in manual therapy interventions has found noted success in treating the orthopedic patient when considering women’s health co-morbidities. Dr. Bunner has presented at state and local conferences and is a mentor and instructor in Bodycentral Physical Therapy Sports and Women’s Health Residency Programs. Tonya teaches the Lumbo-Pelvic-Hip and Pelvic Floor dry needling courses for Structure and Function Education. She co-founded Bodycentral Physical Therapy in 2001 in Tucson, Arizona and has substantial knowledge in business operations, billing, and marketing. Her energetic teaching style keeps attendees engaged with the topic and she breaks the information down into understandable components. She has been described as "one of the best instructors" participants have ever had. She lives to teach and to help her patients live better lives through her help and interventions.
